School Uniform and Equipment
FOR STUDENTS
- White Shirt or blouse
- Black trousers, skirt or pinafore
- Black blazer (with school badge)
- Black socks or tights
- Black jumper (optional)
- Black headscarf (optional)
- Applicable Year Group tie (each year group has a colour-coded tie that you keep during your stay throughout the school)
You can purchase uniform items from local retailers such as Kitted Out and Liverpool Schoolwear.
Examples of the uniform are shown below:
SHOES
Only smart, plain, black faux or leather shoes must be worn in school. Examples of these are:
Branded footwear such as: adidas, Nike, Uggs etc. will not be allowed:
Footwear with coloured soles, high heeled shoes or wedges/platforms will also not be allowed:

In addition to the above clothing requirements it is also recommended that students wear football boots and shin pads when taking part in outdoor football and a gum shield for rugby activities
You can purchase uniform for Calderstones via several local outlets:
EQUIPMENT
These are the minimum required items of equipment that you should be bringing to school each day:
- Pens (a green pen should also be brought in alongside your regular pen)
- Pencils
- Ruler
- Rubber
- Scientific calculator and protractor (a geometry set is advised) *
- Suitable school bag
- No scissors or sharpeners should be brought into school as these will be provided in the classroom when necessary.
* If you wish to purchase a calculator through the school, then you can pay with cash at Student Services for the following items:
- A-Level Graphical £75
- A-Level £20
- GCSE £10
Items also available from Student Services (cash only) include:
- Toolkits £5
- Ties £7.50
LOCKERS
A locker to store belongings will be available to you should you wish to use one. The lockers are located in the Arts Wing. There is a small fee to use this facility so please speak with your HOY if you wish to use one.
